Among them, Sunny Optics has the world’s largest shipment volume of car lenses, with a market share of over 30%; LCE leads the market in high-end products, and after achieving breakthroughs in technology, it continues to expand its production capacity to meet market demand through a high-flying model.
From January to February 2023, the total shipment of the top 10 vehicle lens manufacturers was 28.42KK, with Sunny Optics ranking first with 17.10KK, and LCE ranking second with technology genre. Of course, this is also due to the expansion of new power car companies. In the dismantling of car vision systems publicly disclosed by Electrend in the past, models such as the Li Auto L9, NIO ET7, Risingauto R7, Xiaopeng G9, and ZEEKR 001 have all seen the figures of Sunny Optics and LCE.
A representative lens manufacturer executive in China informed Electrend that compared to other industries, vehicle lenses have higher requirements for product accuracy. From research and development, molds to glass molding, it is a test of core manufacturing capabilities in production.
According to research data from Electrend , the number of models equipped with proximity cameras in the Chinese passenger car market (excluding imported models) in 2022 was 6.098 million, a year-on-year increase of 31.7%; The assembly rate has also increased from 21.5% in 2021 to 30.6%. Among them, the assembly quantity of Chinese independent brand panoramic cameras is 4.485 million, with an assembly rate of 48.6%, far higher than foreign brands such as Germany, Japan, and the United States.
China has become the top in the global car camera market. From front view, rear view, side view, interior view to surround view, it is not only a competition for the power of various cameras, but also a new revolution in vehicle visual perception systems.
